How do you tell a story without any words? People often underestimate the degree of challenge that goes into filming for a music video. Often, directors are forced to compromise the artistic expression at the discretion of the record label or artist, on top of the short, usually, three minute window, which often leads to many of the bland collages on “MTV”. This video, directed by one of my favorite up-and-comers, Saman Keshavarz, is a rare display of artistic synergy. A banging electro track is paired neatly with a well-shot story which, ultimately, creates a masterpiece of audio-visual harmony. This video won Best Music Video @ SXSW in 2010.
